Over the years as dyslexia specialist assessors and teachers, we have seen how our students self-esteem can dip due to their dyslexia. Most of the dyslexia-academy team have seen this with our own children too as well as within the classroom. This encouraged us to further learn about how we can positively help children with dyslexia, dyscalculia and or dyspraxia to develop their self esteem and although this is covered to some degree within our level 5 and 7 Dyslexia Specialist qualifications, the team were keen to learn more!
Therefore, Dyslexia-Academy’s Jayne embarked on the Dyslexia Aware Therapeutic Approach in an intensive training course which focused on an understanding of the Emotional Repercussions of Dyslexia, and also practical applications to address the issues that it creates. Together the Team created this amazing self-esteem boosting intervention for Teaching Assistants to use in Primary School to help boost a dyslexic child’s self-esteem which is also supported by our BACP registered therapist.
Under Gold Membership you can ask your child’s teacher to send an email to us at email@example.com to register to receive this intervention
